Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum to ‘Aaj Ki Raat’: YouTube reveals Pakistan’s top videos of 2024

YouTube has rolled out its end-of-year list, celebrating the most popular videos on the platform. The data provided paints a vivid picture of Pakistan’s video preferences and information consumption patterns.

This year’s list spans three categories — Top Trending Videos, Top Music Videos, and Top Creators.

In Pakistan, entertainment reigned supreme, with dramas and action-packed films topping the Top Trending Videos list. Captivating local dramas like Ishq Murshid, Jaan Nisar, and Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum hold the top three spots, reaffirming Pakistan’s enduring love for compelling storytelling.

The Top Music Videos category features a mix of global sensations and local artists. This year’s top three songs include Gippy Grewal and Jasmine Sandlas’s ‘Nabbe Nabbe’, Stree 2’s ‘Aaj Ki Raat’ and Ali Zafar and Atta Ullah Esakhelvi’s ‘Balo Batiyan’.

Meanwhile, the Top Creators list features channels like Rajab’s Family, Anaya Eeshal Family, Arshad Reels, and Dr Imtiaz Ahmad — reflecting the nation’s growing interest in lifestyle, healthcare and educational content.

This year, YouTube also observed a significant growth in terms of content uploaded by Pakistanis. The total hours of content uploaded by local creators surged by 60% in 2024. There was also a 25% increase in Pakistani creators earning over Rs10 million annually from YouTube.
